The ankle area is a favored site. This annular lesion has small palpable papules along its edge. There is no scaling, a sign that helps to differentiate it from ringworm (tinea corporis). Although said to be associated with diabetes, this is a very doubtful association. Treatment is usually not required although the lesions may be injected with intralesional steroids. Topical steroids are generally not effective. ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯
