The condition may begin in early childhood, although its onset may be in adult life. It is characterized by an intensely pruritic and papular eruption in sun-exposed sites. The lips and nose are often involved and a conjunctivitis has been described. It may resolve in the winter months. Atopic dermatitis may rarely be sun- sensitive with involvement of sun-exposed areas. It is often extremely difficult to distinguish between the two conditions. ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯
